The Poplar Bluff Lions Club Chili Day will be held on Tuesday, November 4. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and supper will be served from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 and include chili, peanut butter sandwiches, crackers and dessert. All funds raised will be used by the local club for their service projects

Grant Program Workshop
The grant program provides funding to all local governments or political subdivisions with taxing authority. This includes municipalities, counties, and taxing districts such as school, library, fire, ambulance, hospital, etc. Select Circuit and Probate Court projects may also qualify for grant funding.

The 16th Annual Festival of Lights Christmas Auto
The 16th Annual Festival of Lights Christmas Auto Tour is coming soon! This community festivity has been known to brighten up even the biggest humbug with thousands of Christmas lights in the Redman Creek East Campground at Wappapello Lake. Right now, the U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Wappapello Lions Club, and Peoples Community Bank are welcoming business groups, organizations, and individuals to sign up to decorate a campsite. There is no charge to decorate or to tour the event. The event will run on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights until the date of December 14 from dusk until 9 p.m Beginning on December 19 through 25, the event will be open nightly from dusk until 9 p.m.
