What's the buzz about summer reading at the Poplar Bluff Public Library? Plenty!!! Summer Reading Edition 2008 Begins on Tueday, July 1st. Catch the reading bug for youth ages 2-12 and Metmorphosis at your library for youth ages 13-18. Buzz by the library and check it out. Weekly drawing for prizes! Black River Festival
The 4th of July Black River Festival will begin Thursday, July 3 kicking off at 4-8pm the BBQ cookoff there will be a band and truck pull that night. Friday July 4 there will be a flag raising ceremony, parade, auction, bbq contest, County Fire Cloggers, talent show, bullfest, and fireworks. Saturday, July 5th there will be starting at 6 am 5k run, Bike parade, dog and cat show, Heartland Gospel Singers, and many more Country rock bands, PeeWee Demolition Derby, Car Demolition, and the tractor pull. Sunday July 6th Bingo will be held at the Black River Coliseum. So there will be plent of events for you to come out and enjoy!! If you have any questions please contact the Community Development!
